1. Discover where the money is: who are your ideal customers?
2. Create enough stimulus in your PRODUCTS and ADVERTS: VALUE vs FEATURES. Customers are looking for value not features. Give them what they want.
3. Beat the customer’s expectations. There’s no such thing as loyal customers. If you don’t meet your customer’s expectation, forget the loyal stuff.
4. First impression decides if the prospect will finally choose your product or services. Always WOW your customers and keep improving on the ways you serve them.
5. Tell the truth and build TRUST. Without trust, no customer will be willing to part his or her money in buying your product.

Before the inspiration to write this article came, what has taken a better part of my thought in the last one week was and still is,; “why on earth will an entrepreneur set out or devotedly be interested to establish a business firm he/she knows won’t last ? What will such a mediocre gain by such a worthless venture? Or is it just for the fun of being a one-time business owner?”
You know, this is a difficult lifestyle to behold. Most entrepreneurs who are in business today do not care to know what they stand to gain at the long run, and no doubt, this is among many reasons why they don’t care to observe the output of every habit they inputted into their businesses.
To make a visionary entrepreneur, more than words are needed. Every habit you exhibit has its resultant effect on your business whether good or bad.
In today’s post, I want to dwell on some of the successful habits Henry Wells, William Fargo and John Butterfield, all of American Express inputted as far back as 1850 into American Express that made their legacy what it is today, the successful habits William Boeing inputted into Boeing in 1915 when he founded it, the successful habits of William Durant founder of General Motors, Thomas Edison of General Electric (the man who thought differently from other inventors), William Hewlett and David Packard founders of HP in 1937, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Aliko Dangote of Dangote Group, Bill Gates of Microsoft Inc., Steve Jobs of Apple, Mazi Clement Owunna of Starline Nigeria, Uche Ugah of Master Energy, Ossy Prestige Ossy of Prestige Associate and many other world renowned successful entrepreneurs.
If I may ask you, what could be some of the habits these men mentioned above were able to exhibit that made their businesses stand out among others? Well, I may not know exactly as I wasn’t there with them but permit me to borrow words from Colin Powell who said; that “There is no secret to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” This quote makes me believe I have a clue to why these men succeeded while others didn’t.
In my previous exclusive interviews with Authors, Entrepreneurs and Public Speakers in U.S.A., London and Nigeria, I came to realize that those successful habits of visionary entrepreneurs are the same all over the world. That is to say that a millionaire in Nigeria has the capacity to become a millionaire in United States of America under the condition that you play by the same rule that earns you money having every other things as a constant. With this I mean to say that if you open up to what I am about to teach you here, you will achieve great success irrespective of the country you find yourself.

Why 2014 is Considered the Year of The Entrepreneurs
2014 has been globally considered by Experts and successful entrepreneurs around the world as the year of the entrepreneurs. This, as I discovered was because of the great number of successful entrepreneurs who are springing off from all works of life. When I conducted my research about entrepreneurs and the business world I came to realise few points that made this year 2014 to be considered the year of the Entrepreneurs by experts. These things are;
1. 2013 produced 138 women as billionaires but 2014 produced 172 billionaires, indicating that 42 women joined the club of billionaires in 2014.
2. In 2013 we had an aggregate net worth of the billionaires to be $5.4 trillion but in 2014 we had an aggregate net worth of billionaires to be $6.4 trillion, indicating an increase of $1 trillion.
3. 2014 has recorded 268 new entrants of billionaires which includes the two gorgeous guys of WhatsApp, Jan Koum and Brian Acton I wrote about in my previous post titled; 5 Lessons I Learnt From the Transaction Between Facebook and WhatsApp.
4. In 2014 Sheldon Adelson joined the top ten billionaires in the world for the first time after adding $11.5 billion to his previous net worth.
5. In 2014 Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook Inc. jumped from $15.2 billion of net worth to $28.5 billion.
6. For the first time in history our own Aliko Dangote, founder of Dangote Group, a man I respect and hold with high esteem so much joined the Top 25 billionaires in the world.
7. And finally, for the first time in history Algeria, Luthuania, Tanzania and Uganda produced her billionaires in dollar. Of a truth, there’s no doubt that the year 2014 so far has really being a blessing to entrepreneurs.
A business plan is as important as the success of the business is. I have a popular slogan with me “that the focused attitude of an Aircraft is what keeps it going beyond the limiting gravitational force.” When you venture into business, things you never imagined that existed keeps popping into your imagination and if you lack a clear-cut plan of what you are in for and where you are going you may lose focus and start failing. By taking your mind back to the day you first had that business idea(s), you will understand with me that the business you thought of was quite fascinating. If you don’t know how to start or what to sell, start by selling services and then grow into selling products. Once you’ve grown into selling products after services, you can go to think while your business goes ahead in gaining the market shares.

Your Energy Bank Account has things that make it stocked up and things that make it glow red. The previous is the right investment of energy and the recent is the wrong investment of energy.
You may ask, how do people invest their energies wrongly? Yes! People do. How to Stop Your Business From Crawling
I moved round the city yesterday to observe good number of companies and industries that have been in business for over 5 years and my discoveries were so amazing. Two of the last places I visited were a boutique along Mosque Street by Hospital Road and a Photograph/Video studio along Cameroun Road by Ube Street (all in Aba, Nigeria). The looks on the faces of the two owners of these businesses proved how frustrated they were.
When I threw few of my sampling techniques of identifying businesses that are crawling or that may likely crawl, I came to realise how far these businesses were behind the modern technology. Like the photograph studio I made mention of visiting, they were over 5 years behind where the technology is today. When others, I mean their competitors have gone into the use of digital cameras and computer system for professional editing they were still busy with their mechanical/analogue approach. Come to think of the signpost (an arrow indicating where their business is and what they had the capacity to offer) they had, it was mocking. I know that no reasonable person in his right senses will like to do business with such companies. The signposts are so unfriendly that it can send a potential customer on flight at the first sight.
However, something can still be done to revive those businesses and in few moments from now, I will be offering my solution if well implemented will help them bounce back to life and thus regain their customers’ loyalty and confidence.
So, is your business or that of someone you know experiencing any of those setbacks I cited above from my weekend discoveries? Here are things you must do to stop your business from crawling again.
How to Stop Your Business from Ever Crawling Again
1. Be observant of where the technology is at the moment
Customers will consider it an insult on their persons if they discover you sold to them an old tech with the current price tag. If they were so quite to reserve their comments bear it in mind they will never return again. Get to know what is in vogue at the moment that your customers may likely want. Spice those things into your services and you will continually land more prospects and of course returning customers too.
2. If possible, don’t let the world around you develop faster than you
To remain relevant both to your customers and in your industry you must develop alongside the technology. When your competitors are beginning to use computerized doors, join them. When they are beginning to use digital facilities, join them. And if you can, take the lead but in a situation you are not creative enough you can learn to follow well by incorporating two or three new technologies of your competitors. Don’t let the technology develop faster than you otherwise your competitors will push you out of the industry.
3. Look for one new technology you can invent
No matter how uncreative you think you are, there’s always a new thing you can do. There’s always a new technology you can embrace. What drag customers into your business most times for the first time might not be the wonderful referrals but the outlook of your business. Like I made mention of the ugly signpost I saw, what does yours look like? How creative is it? If you are to be the customer will you make a choice to go ahead with the purchase after sitting the signpost? I leave it to you to judge.
4. Always check out what your competitors are doing
This point looks similar to the one discussed above but here I want to cite something different. This point is for those who are afraid to take risk. The easiest way to avoid uncalculated risk is to watch your competitors more closely than they can ever watch themselves. For every action they took for the first 6 months watch out to see what the reactions of customers were. Don’t be in a haste to copy otherwise you might be copying a gambled decision of the business owners. Watch before you leap but don’t die watching. Copy professionally.
5. Ask relevant questions concerning your business
Most business owners are so carried away by the rigours and fantasy of business that they no longer care to ask people how they business is, what people think about them and how they can get better. Although asking question is necessary but not everyone is qualify to be asked. People like your competitors and novice are not worth asking.
