Top 7 Reasons Why Most Bloggers Quit So Soon

Posted on

[An article that unveils the unspoken intents why
most bloggers quit blogging too soon and thus never live to
share in the millions of dollars circulating in the dot com world]

Are you an entrepreneur, a student or one of the unemployed youths hoping to join millions of other bloggers making six digit figures as an income from simply blogging and other related internet businesses? Here comes an article to educate you beforehand over certain reasons why most bloggers don’t continue after the first one year of spiral blogging and possible things you can do to become an outstanding success in this industry.

“Passion is the fuel and oil that lubricates and
empowers every iota of success and accomplishment
ever experienced by an entrepreneur.
Without passion entrepreneurs quit.”
Emenike Emmanuel
Founder, Emchis Consulting

Having failed as a blogger before but now upstanding and of course raising thousands of others to stand with me, I think I am in a better position to show you reasons why most bloggers quit so soon and why I choose not to quit again.

“Gone so soon” is the word to describe the speed with which most bloggers abandon their blogging career to move on to other businesses.

Making money online as a blogger can be easy if you understand the principles that will help you to stay abreast, otherwise, it can also be highly frustrating.

Some bloggers who claim to have over 100,000 visitors in their first month of blogging most times are not always telling us the whole truth, except for bloggers who had some previous blogs and of course some regular viewers who they had to introduce to their next and newest blog, (I mean the likes of Michael Dunlop who had to introduce his blog readers at http://www.RetireAt21.com to http://www.IncomeDiary.com).

When budding bloggers who we are hoping to train into hot-headed entrepreneurs get to read most of these exaggerations, they are often left with two options of either to quit and move into other businesses or just stay back waiting for their own turn of the traffic in the future with little or no definiteness of purpose.

Whatever be the issue, I still believe that “quitting is not an option.” Only small minds quit too early. Don’t make yourself one. When it comes to making entrepreneurs and employees perform at their peak, I have always played my part and that’s one of the lessons I have never failed to litter on the pages of every article published here in Emchis Consulting.

For several reasons bloggers who came into blogging (with the hope of making a fortune out of it) quit so soon. And from the experiences I had from my previous failed blogs and information I gathered from friends who abandoned blogging to other line of businesses came these Top 7 Reasons Why Most Bloggers Quit So Soon.

1. Drain of Passion
Passion is a pivotal instrument needed to keep businesses running. In fact, I can vividly say that passion is the fuel and oil that lubricates and empowers every iota of success and accomplishment ever experienced by an entrepreneur. Without passion entrepreneurs quit.

The case of a blogger who is drained of passion over his blogging career cannot be different. Such a person is bound to quit blogging as soon as the passion to write, publish and interact with other bloggers and followers isn’t there anymore.

2. False Perceptions about Blogging
Newbie have several misconceptions about blogging. Some think money comes simply by writing and publishing. Oh my God! What a foolish thing to think this way! Making money from blogging isn’t that easy. It requires much more than just creating a blog post and hitting ‘publish.’ Unfortunately, when those false perceptions and conceptions fail some bloggers, all they could remember is the word ‘quit.’

3. Quest for Quick Money or Overnight Wealth
As long as you have not invested money and time into your blog (directly or indirectly), your probability of making huge income from it is limited. It might interest you to know that intelligence can wonderfully break these protocols such that even without advert spaces, word ad, or google adsense, you can still make money from your blog. I know you will be interested to know how I do it but let’s leave it for our next post [or rather for students who will register for How to Build a Successful Blog with me].

Investing in your blog can come by a way of buying an advertorial space in other blogs to promote either your product and services or just your posts. This strategy is what I have spirally used to garner traffic to my blog. See Naija Pound where I promote my latest audio book titled; How to be an Entrepreneur of Excellence.

However, quest for overnight wealth which has failed and will continue to fail bloggers has never ceased in making the impatient bloggers quit blogging so soon.

4. Bad Ranking on Alexa.com
One of the most frustrating yet energizing experiences most bloggers have is trying to check their web ranking on http://www.Alexa.com . When some bloggers after publishing probably their 50th or 100th blog post and still find their blogs either not captured by Alexa.com Matrices or ranking millionth, hurriedly quit blogging.

This decision to quit too early is also remotely related to having little or no visitors view their blog posts. Notwithstanding the fact that it can be quite tempting to quit, it is however more interesting to synergize and re-empower yourself to become one among the successful bloggers. Read up this article from a trusted friend of mine on how you can Improve On Your Google Ranking Using the Social Media.

5. Lack of Adequate Technical Abilities
Blogging needs some techniques. These techniques include but not limited to ability to tag rightly and professionally, ability to link some social networking sites to your blog, ability to install some necessary web tools and plugins etc. When some bloggers have tried without success, some choose to quit while few pay others to do it for them. Well, I still believe you don’t necessarily need to be a Web Savvy to get these things right. You just need to put in extra time, and be passionate about your decision to be a Professional Blogger.

There are several levels of technicalities needed to keep your blog beautiful. To make a successful blogger you need to learn them.

6. Poor Writing Skills
People with poor writing skills have lesser probability of making a successful blogger. Greater percentage of the things you will be doing in blogging has everything to do with writing but poor writing skill will definitely bring in a mishap. Whether you are into gaming, software development or any sort of internet marketing, the place of your writing ability cannot be substituted.

Although not everyone was born with this skill but it can actually be learnt and even mastered. I can remember the first day I thought about writing my first book. I woke up that night with everything I wanted to write on my mind but translating them into a readable sentence was where the problem lied. However, since I knew that ‘writing’ was what will launch me to my next level, hence I continued to develop my writing skills. Today, I can boast of over 100 business-based articles, 8 unpublished books and several contributions to magazines. It is amazing that today I can write as much as 5000 words every day, all because I gave in my time to it.

To become a successful blogger or probably just a writer (not blogging this time), I recommend you read Okechukwu Ofili’s article here on How to Write Often.

7. Not Being Knowledgeable about SEO
SEO means, Search Engine Optimization. I may not know any SEO Expert but I know of one even though he has often declined to be. From the moment I began to follow his advice, everything about my career as a blogger changed, my ranking on Alexa.com came up and when searching for certain keywords on Google you will definitely find my posts. His name is MICHAEL DUNLOP. Michael Dunlop, the founder of http://www.RetireAt21.com and http://www.IncomeDiary.com has played a great role in teaching me the reasons while some blog posts appear on search engine and get read why others never surfaced. Bravo to him. Also, Rebekah Radice, founder of http://www.RebekahRadice.com has also been instrumental in helping me fully understand the impact of the social media in growing my traffic and also in marketing.

To enjoy your life as a professional blogger you must be knowledgeable about how SEO works; the function of webcrawlers and the benefits of tagging appropriately. Those who rely on having creative and well articulated write-ups most times end up not having their blogs visited and in worst cases never had their articles shared.

To make it big as a blogger is possible, it is not easy, but you need passion, patience, hard work and you must be knowledgeable about SEO ranking. Most importantly, you must have to hone your writing skills. Even if you weren’t born with it, you can learn and develop it.

Having said all these, I wouldn’t like to see you quit, whether as a blogger, a student or as an entrepreneur. You must understand that up there in the sky are no limitations. If you add more strength, passion and creativity to what you are doing today, you will certainly project yourself into the sky where you can succeed without limit.

“People with poor writing skills have lesser
probability of making a successful blogger.”

How to Deal With the Fear of Starting a Successful Blog

How to series
Do you want to join millions of people around the world who are making waves in the blogging industry as a blogger? These ones have gained independence from corporate slavery. Over the week, I met with some extremely successful bloggers who after all they had studied in the Universities ended up Bloggers. One was a Journalist and the other was a Registered Nurse.

Do you want to drastically deal with the fears that have hindered you from making the move into the world of abundance as a blogger? Meaning that you have the passion to write but you are afraid of taking the first step. Probably you considered it a risk not worth taking. Or were you thinking blogging will stop you from living the life of freedom you’ve always wanted? If you answered yes to any or all of those questions then I can guarantee you that you are in the right place.

In this blog I have a special interest in building entrepreneurs who will go round the world teaching others How to Change the World.

Recently I got a message from one of my facebook friends and a keen follower of Emchis Consulting which I think it will be nice to share with you. He said;
“Good morning Mr. Emenike Emmanuel. My name is Stan. I just read your article titled “Misconceptions about Blogging” and felt the need to send you this message whilst the fire ignited by your article is still at full blaze in my mind.

I have a passion for writing and have always wanted to go into blogging, but I don’t know where to put the first step. I harbour fears that I might not be able to sustain it. I will really appreciate your guidance and counsel. I have been following your works on facebook. Thank you Sir.”

This is not the first time I’m receiving this kind of message, I have had people stop me at conferences and on the street with excitement that they finally met me live. I have also had people recommend me for speaking engagements by virtue of the great contents of this blog, Emchis Consulting which is speedily making a wave in the industry, but for the fact that I promised him of creating a new article in his honour and in response to his questions, I have decided to include this testimony. Anyway, this is by the way. Let’s go back to the topic of discussion – How to Deal with the Fear of Starting a Blog.
Blogosphere
Registering on wordpress (the best blogging platform) and creating your first article, and afterwards hitting ‘publish’ can be very easy and exciting but continuously churning out great contents can be very difficult, and it is one among the reasons while most people like Stan are afraid if they can sustain it.

Emchismotivationalnetwork.blogspot.com, Emchis.blogspot.com and Emenikeemmanuel.blogspot.com were the first three blogs I started which are now abandoned for several reasons even though my wonderful intellectual materials are still there. That’s to say that starting a blog is not enough but having a Big Picture of what the content and marketing of the blog will be like is much more important.

Starting a blog is a great doorway into the realm of freedom from corporate slavery. When Michael Dunlop of IncomeDiary.com and RetireAt21.com ,Matt Wilson of Under30CEO.com, Ajaero Tony Martins of MyTopBusinessIdeas.com, Bamidele Onibalusi of WritersInCharge.com, Darlinton Omeh of WealthResult.com, Brian Clark of CopyBlogger.com, Darren Rowse ProBlogger.net, Rebekah Radice of RebekahRadice.com, Joel Brown of Addicted2Success.com and I myself (founder of Emchis Consulting) set out to finally become bloggers we had several challenges which we knew had the capacity to stop except we aggressively confront and conquer them.

In fact, the first one month you started blogging can be so challenging that if you are not careful you will either be forced by circumstances to dive into too many niches (combining business with news) or quit entirely. This happens especially when you don’t have visitors on your blog.

How to Overcome the Fear of Building a Successful Blog
As a newbie in the blogging industry, these are some of the things you must do;
1. Expect discouragement from friends and family members but be determined to drive through the odds.
2. Work overtime. Take no vacation.
3. Write often. Hone your writing and speaking skills.
4. Give more interest and time to developing good content over design
5. Attend seminars and conferences related to the niche you are blogging about, it helps you to connect with people.
6. Network with other bloggers by meeting them, following their blogs, commenting often on their blog posts, following them on facebook, twitter, google+ etc
7. Make extensive research before you write.
8. Focus on what you are passionate about and it will be hard for you to quit so soon.
9. See blogging like you see every other business that can’t make money without inputting effort.
10. Give yourself hope that one day you might be giving an offer of over a million dollar to buy up your blog.

In Conclusion
The fear of starting your own blog can actually be dealt with if you will learn to follow the advices of pioneers in the industry. Wait a minute, do you know what you might probably be losing if you don’t start now? The fear of wasting the opportunity is enough to keep you determined to start your blogging career today. However, there are too many Misconceptions about Blogging which I would want you to read before you take action into starting your first or next blog today.

Misconceptions About Blogging

Misconceptions about Blogging pix
How much do you know about the blogging industry? What was your intention for coming into blogging? And what was the biggest lie you were told about the blogosphere? Are you tired of being lied to and now want to know the truth about making money from blog? If you are, then I am ready to help you. You are not permitted to be deceived again on issues about blogging by virtue of the content of this article but if eventually you get deceived, simply know that you caused it because you have refused to abide by my technical yet simple instructions.

Blogging is much more than copy and paste like I have always told you. Blogging is a noble profession which should only be reserved for those few integral part of the society who delight in writing and are passionate about educating the world. Most popular bloggers have deceived new entrants that blogging is all about money making. They have deceived new entrants that it is only the news niche where money can be generated in blogging.

Blogging is not only for the purpose of making money, it is much more than that.
Emenike Emmanuel
Often times most newbie are always misunderstanding the place of blogging in granting employment and financial liberty. Blogging has offered most people a new opportunity to own their own business usually home-based businesses. Blogging as a home-based business has lifted most Nigerians off the burdens of corporate slavery.

Misconceptions about Blogging

Blogging is All about Money Making

Blogging is not just for the purpose of making money. In fact Henry Ford, the founder of Ford Motors was right when he said that “a business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.” Most people who made great amount of money from blogging were mostly those who went into with the goal of achieving something much more than money. In fact, I always advice that it is better to do anything for fame than for money because I have discovered new ways which Thinking Money Makes People Poor, and that is why those who heed to my instructions always come out an outstanding success.

If you are in the Blogging Industry or wish to join soon you must realise from today henceforth that blogging is beyond money making. For more information on other things that could motivate you to become a Blogger or as a Blogger, read this article: 5 Things to Keep You Motivated as a Blogger.

You Don’t Need Passion to Be a Blogger, All You Need is Access to the Internet

Just like every other kind of business career, passion is very pivotal to your excellence. It is passion that keeps you awake at night to research, write and publish. Without passion it will be very difficult to remain a Blogger for more than a year. Most copy and paste attitude being exhibited by some bloggers today especially in Nigeria is because they no longer have the passion to remain in blogging.

One of the biggest lies I have heard ever since I came into blogging professionally was; “you don’t need to be even passionate about it (that is, blogging), all you just need is to have access to the internet.” And my question is who is feeding our innocent and budding online entrepreneurs with all these lies? No wonder the adherers of this fake information copy, edit and paste information on their website without considering the legal implications! They spread rumours and afterwards mess up the blogging profession.

If You Can’t Write You Can Copy Other Bloggers

If you can’t write don’t blog. Look for some other businesses you can do. There are several other internet businesses you could do from home apart from blogging. Please don’t be a party to those who soil the reputation of this noble profession. That Linda Ikeji makes millions of Naira from her blog in a month does not mean we do not have other people who can make as much as twice what she makes from other kind of businesses. What of Akin Alabi, founder of NairaBet.com and Simdul Shagaya, founder of Konga.com? Aren’t they successful? It is plagiarism to steal people’s web content to publish on your blog as though you are the originator. If you can’t write you can market online or go into partnership with others who have special writing skills like most people have done with me. I now write for several magazines and individuals – some I sell out rightly, others I publish in my name.

You Can Write On Any Niche

There’s always an industry you know something about. If it is not the music industry it is the fashion industry, if it is not the movie industry it is football, if it is not entrepreneurship it is insurance, if it is not about the internet it is something else. There are numerous niches available to be explored but the truth is that no matter how versatile you are in knowledge you can’t write (blog) on just any niche. You must have an area of specialty. You must have a niche where you have strong passion for. It is possible you may have more than one niche like me but before you go into blogging professionally it is expedient you decide a niche to blog on. This is where your success as a blogger begins. Your niche is what determines the people you attract to your blog. People surfing the net for information go by keywords and it is these Google keywords that determines if your blog comes up on the search engine or not.

Don’t be deceived, you can’t write on just any niche. Decide a niche you will blog on. There’s something you know how to do best, begin from there. It could be about mobile apps, electronics, psychology, prayer or what have you. Begin with a niche and let your followers understand you to be an expert in that field and before long, money will flow in your direction.

Blogging is a Get Rich Quick Scheme

Most bloggers get frustrated in their blogging career because of the misconceptions they had about blogging. They were told big lies which they could not resist. In fact, when I came into blogging newly we were all told the same lies. Most popular bloggers have deceived us to believe that once you come into blogging you become a millionaire overnight, but this is not true. It takes time to make money online especially as a blogger. It takes courage and perseverance to continue blogging while you wait for the money to come. It took Linda Ikeji of LindaIkeji.blogspot.com, Uche Eze of BellaNaija.com, Darlington Omeh of WealthResult.com, Farouk Radwan of 2KnowMyself.com and several others years before they started making money from blogging. So if you must succeed in this blogging industry you must be ready to exercise patience.

Let me sound it clear again before I finally wrap up this post that blogging is not a get-rich-quick business scheme that makes you money overnight. If you are thinking that way please be informed that blogging is not for you. Blogging is majorly for the purpose of bringing solution to people and as those problems are solved, the money comes.

What You Need to Know About Blogging

Posted on Updated on

Blogosphere
Blogging is not a copy and paste affair. Blogging is a noble career which should only be left for people who have the ability and passion to write. Everybody must not be a blogger or better put, you must not blog about news or events to be successful. There are several niches you could blog about. If you don’t have legal access to news and events there’s no point blogging on those niches.

You could do something more valuable with your time than spread deadly rumours on the internet simply because you want to get traffic on your site. My dear, that’s not all there is about the blogging industry. Blogging is much more than making money from traffics or pay per click, it is an online platform for solving problems.

If you’re new to blogging or wish to join later please ask questions. I have over 50 creative niches you could blog on. That’s to say you can still make a name for yourself without involving in copy and paste.

Don’t join the rumour mongers who only stain the image of the blogging profession.

Top 7 Reasons Why You Can’t Do Without a Business Plan

Posted on Updated on

A business plan is as important as the success of the business is. Any entrepreneur who wishes to make it big in business must not invest a dire into any business of interest without first constructing a profitable business plan. Of course you know that a Business Plan is like a roadmap leading to the success of the business. However, you don’t need to spend all your time hoping to write the most articulated business plan – just do it. Write something; at least more than half for small business owners but for great conglomerates, make sure you did all the work from day one.

You can do it. You can write a profitable business plan, but in a situation you don’t trust yourself enough you can always count on us here at Emchis Consulting for guidelines.
For seven top reasons you can’t do without a business plan and that’s what I have got here. Enjoy it.
7 Reasons Why You Need a Business Plan

1. Business Plan makes you stay focused and on track

I have a popular slogan with me “that the focused attitude of an Aircraft is what keeps it going beyond the limiting gravitational force.” When you venture into business, things you never imagined that existed keeps popping into your imagination and if you lack a clear-cut plan of what you are in for and where you are going you may lose focus and start failing. If you want to know Entrepreneurs who lacked concentration go and check those who had no Business Plan.

2. A Business Plan offers you good assistance in setting the standard for accessing and evaluating your business

By taking your mind back to the day you first had that business idea(s), you will understand with me that the business you thought of was quite fascinating. If by any means something goes wrong in your absence, it is with the help of the Business Plan that people can correct the mistake made being in accordance with the vision of the Pioneer. I stand to be corrected that one of the reasons why so many businesses could not survive beyond the first generation owners is because they lacked solid and implemented Business Plans.

If there be a yardstick for measuring accuracy in staff performance in a company, an assessment tool for determining high-level performance in School systems and a limit of Right to offenders, I think we would have no heavy problem to contend with. Remember: Business Plan is a compilation of your Business Ideas in such a manner that it can deliver an optimum result of success. This makes it clear that we must not limit a Business Plan to only businesses. It must be extended to everything that makes us busy – that’s ‘busyness.’ It could be a talent, life goals or a profession. Just name it!

3. Adjustment and Readjustment where and when necessary can only be real in a business that had a Business Plan

To identify the place of error in a licking roof, you must search out for the pigeon-hole using the Building Plan. And until you find the Pigeon-hole in the Building Plan, you may succeed in spending your time in futility. With the help of a Business Plan you can be able to find out mistakes and business failures where and when necessary and within the limit of your knowledge or that of your hired Professionals offer solutions to ameliorate it.

4. Business Plan helps you build values and principles that will guild your company

The kind of product you are limited to trade on must be inculcated in your business plan. How you intend to convince customers must as well be part of the content of your business plan. And the class of customers you are out to serve, the value-rating you seek to acquire in the market, your innovative approach and the standard every workforce of the company must undertake in fulfilling the company’s vision must be strictly spelled out and followed in the Business Plan.
With this, you have acquired the unbending principle towards achieving business breakthrough and greatness.

5. Business Plan helps you recognize opportunities, identify risk, plan preventions and develop strategies to tackle any eventuality

Entrepreneurs who have a Business Plan for their business and apply it to the core are never easily tossed up and down by the prevailing societal issues at hand. It is this kind of people that Zig Ziglar referred to as Real Managers who get excited when their customers complain. Zig Ziglar has it that when customers complain, business owners and Managers ought to get excited because it is a huge opportunity for more business. Why would they get excited because they have just been reminded of their weaknesses and that’s a good opportunity to either subdue it or work on it?

Even before they walk into business, by the power of a good Business Plan, they have known what their possible opportunities for more business are, a limiting weakness that could stand their way, possible risks they must undertake to unveil the next success and of course have searched out means they could prevent the avoidable risks and strategies to tackle the unavoidable risks.
6. A Business Plan defines your products or services

It is in your Business Plan that you determine if your company will be focusing on delivering products (and what type of product?), services (and what type of services?) or products and services (and how this two can be combined optimally). To establish a firm that can’t fail so easily, you must seek to deliver services when selling your products.

If you don’t know how to start or what to sell, start by selling services and then grow into selling products. Once you’ve grown into selling products after services, you can go to think while your business goes ahead in gaining the market shares.
7. A Business Plan helps you channel your energy in the right direction and eliminate waste

Your Energy Bank Account has things that make it stocked up and things that make it glow red. The previous is the right investment of energy and the recent is the wrong investment of energy.

You may ask, how do people invest their energies wrongly? Yes! People do. They do that by taking uncalculated risk, by venturing into unpredicted success lane hoping that miracle will happen or luck will shine on them, by not studying the successful business pioneers, by working on assumptions and expectance of instant gratification. With a good Business Plan you can overcome this low-level mentality that has brought people unprincipled success.
If you have a good business plan which by professional look has been approved to last, you have no worry to worry if the business will pay or not. You simply know that you are in for great business.

Do you have a profitable idea, a viable business plan or a qualitative feasibility study but do not have the capital to jump-start your business – I mean the business purported to transform your life for a lifetime? Okay! What would you think if I tell you that raising money for your business startup is as easy as the air we breathe? Would you believe that? I know you might doubt it but before the end of this article I’m optimistic that your doubts will no longer be there. In this article I will show you strategies that helped me raise money to publish my first book, buy my first personal computer and of course support my education in the tertiary institution. A few of the things I mentioned is to tell you how real these strategies of raising money for your business are. Oh! Did I forget to tell you that the money needed to furnish this blog, design and of course print my business card also came from these strategies? These strategies are what self-made millionaires first started with.

These strategies of raising money for your business startup have not only worked for me but also to as many as that have followed my daily teachings on facebook. Recently one of my facebook friends who is also a consultant asked me for permission to borrow some of my strategies so that he could share it in his upcoming Business Class, which I obliged. That’s to tell you that what I am here to teach you on this blog are not one of those theories no one has ever practiced but true key points thousands of people pay to listen to in a Business Summits.

More often than none, people have narrowed their mind to borrowing to start up a business which I regard as the poorest method of a man’s thinking. Successful and practicing businessmen will never suggest that you collect a loan to start up a business – even your worst enemy can’t ask you to do that. This is because most people who failed from the top of their entrepreneurial life to get grounded all had their business capitals as loans with interest they could not pay at the long run. The principle is; “stay self-funded as much as possible.” Never take a loan to start up a business, and if you must collect, make sure the interest rate is as low as possible.
How to Raise Money For Your Business Start Up
To raise money for your business start up, here are few things you must do;

1. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and every other thing shall be added unto you
2. Conserve more time than you use to. Only few would-be entrepreneurs know that Time is Money. In that case, don’t spend time otherwise you will never have it back instead invest it.
3. Work for a salary/wages
4. Get a part-time job
5. Begin a home-based business as another stream of income
6. Use salary advance for your start up if you are already employed
7. Raise your bar of excellence in the area of financial discipline
8. If you have a viable business plan and a well articulated and comprehensive feasibility study go for loan but be sure it has a low interest rate.

When you generate more income from any of the above strategies I stated above, begin by implementing it right away and you will see yourself flying on the wings of success.

7 Kinds of People That Can Benefit From a Network Marketing Business

Network marketing business is not for everyone just like every other forms of business are not for everyone. It is a special kind of business that is ready to profit those who are ready to stake their best time and energy for it.

Those who thought that once they are into network marketing business otherwise known as MLM they are made for life are often those who get frustrated and drop out along the line.

In today’s post, I have come up with my latest research of the seven kinds of people who can benefit from a network marketing business. That you didn’t make it to these 7 kinds of people does not mean there’s no hope for you. No. There’s hope for you because it is very easy to join in these group of people.

Before I select people or I permit people to work with me in the distribution of the cosmetic product I market here in Nigeria, I weigh them using these 7 classes of people I am about to share with you today. And if any of them was able to make it to these list, then I can be sure the person will benefit from my business, the person won’t get frustrated along the line, and he/she will be more willing to work with me. In the other hand, if I realise that the passion with which he or she started is no longer there and of course it can’t be resurrected, I relief the person of the job.

Without further delay, let me bring to your notice these 7 kinds of people who can benefit from a Network Marketing Business.

People That Network Marketing Business can Make Rich

1. Those who have money but do not know where to invest their money
2. Those who have a dream, a vision or an idea of what to do to become rich but do not have the money to start up
3. Those who are already in business but lacks some necessary business skills (such as Sales skills) needed to make it big in business
4. Those who want to make new and credible contacts without having to force themselves on anybody
5. Those who like helping people
6. Those who need a part-time job or home-based business
7. Those who wants to know how I started my own Network Marketing Company

Do you have the money but don’t know where to invest the money? Are you afraid to risk your money on stocks? Are you wondering if the money you have right now can be multiplied to better your life? Then I urge you to come into Network Marketing Business.

Do you have a dream, a vision and a workable idea that can land you millions but don’t even have a dime for a startup? I urge you to come into network marketing business. In Network Marketing you are offered the privilege to meet different classes of people who derive joy in helping others succeed. Unlike other businesses where two persons in the same industry compete, Network Marketing business partners helps you succeed alongside with them.
And you know what? In Network Marketing you have the privilege to run it as a part-time or home-based business as it won’t interfere in any way with some other businesses you might be involved in.

Why am I suggesting Network Marketing Business (MLM)? Yes. Here is where you find people who your success is their concern not because they know you but because their success is connected to yours. So they will be more willing to help you succeed.

The Biggest Mistake I Made in My Early Days of Coming into Network Marketing Business

The Biggest Mistake I Made in My Early Days of Coming into Network Marketing Business

Mistakes Every Network Marketer Make

As a newbie in MLM business who was anxious to make more money, live the kind of life I have always dreamt of and of course cruise in my own car; I fumbled and stumbled just because of a tiny mistake I failed to realize had the capacity to bring me fail then.

I have told you time without number here on this blog how my Branch Manager introduced me into this line of business he knew nothing about. As one who was just interested in what he will get and gain, I had so many notions about the Network Marketing business. Some of them worked out, while others didn’t.

Right here in today’s post, I will tell you those notions that didn’t work out. Meanwhile, that’s what has constituted to my biggest mistake in Network Marketing Business.
Not only will I be sharing the biggest mistake I made when I came into Network Marketing business newly, I will also show you most of the mistakes other people are currently making and how to stop them.

Without mincing words, I’m still of the belief that Network Marketing business is one of the best businesses you can ever think of. Network Marketing business is the kind of business you walk into without experience but when leaving, you become trained to train others. Robert Kiyosaki calls it ‘A Business for People Who like Helping Others.’ In fact, the potentiality in MLM business is fully under-tapped. That’s to mean that in the next 50 years, a Network Marketer who understands what he is doing will make into the world billionaires.

Some of the mistakes I made as a Network Marketer is what I am about to share with you. If you are in the business of Network Marketing or know someone who is in the business and the person isn’t progressing, there’s this likelihood he or she must be making these mistakes I am about sharing with you. So, what do you do? Yes. That’s a nice question. Just open your mind, remove every distractions and focus on every bit of information I am about to give you now. Even if you are not yet apart of this line of business, by heeding to the lessons of those who have made mistakes and afterwards jumped back on their feet to correct their mess, you too can make it as a successful Network Marketer.

General Mistakes Most Network Marketer Make

1. Most Network Marketers Sell on Credit
2. Most Network Marketers are in the Line of products they don’t have passion in
3. Most Network Marketers thought everyone will like the product they are promoting
4. Most Network Marketers thought that because they are smart and good looking it will make people to buy
5. Most Network Marketers don’t know how to introduce their products to different categories of people. They thought what worked in Jos will work in Lagos or what worked in the open market will work when they visit government officials to sell to them
6. Most Network Marketers don’t know much about the product and the company that manufactures it

Although those mistakes I listed above are very severe, but those mistakes were not the biggest mistake I made in those days of coming into Network marketing newly.
Do you want to know what that biggest mistake was? Okay. Here it is.

THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I MADE WAS MY INABILITY TO ACQUIRE
ENOUGH SALES SKILLS THROUGH BOOKS AND SEMINARS
BEFORE WALKING INTO NETWORK MARKETING BUSINESS

After I came across my money mentor, Robert Kiyosaki, through many of his intellectual properties (books, online interviews and CDs), I came to realize how stupid I was then to begin selling without the necessary skills to back myself up. When I look back into the memory lane, I recall how was rejected and mocked because I could not defend my stand. In worst scenario I will be sent out in utmost disgrace.
Those experiences made me hate selling. It made me hate going into business because I knew it is impossible to do business without having to sell. I know that’s what has held so many people down from going into business, especially Network Marketing business.

Those ugly experiences of not knowing how to sell made me wish I had graduated so that I can go look for job. But the question is; ‘the job created by who?’

Today, I am grateful to God for using Robert Kiyosaki’s book; “Business School For People Who Like To Help People” to change my life by drawing me closer to the number one Business Skills in the world which is SALES SKILLS.

Now, I have had a conscious decision to correct every mistake I made in the past as a newbie in Network Marketing Business. If you are going through similar pains as a Network Marketer or in other areas in Business, you can count on us for guide. Thanks.

Features of a Good Business Plan

Posted on Updated on

Features of a Good Business Plan

1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Executive summary gives overall detailed information about the business venture. It is very emotional, appealing and easy-to-read. It is the last to be written but the first to appear on the business plan.

2. COMPANY OVERVIEW
The company overview provides a strategic insight into the company and as well describes how the company is organised, what products and services it offers or will offer, and then goes into detail on the company’s qualifications in serving her target markets. In the company overview you get the following:
a. Company Profile
b. Company Vision and Mission Statement
c. Past Accomplishment (if you are new, you don’t need that)

3. INDUSTRY ANALYSIS
This section includes;
a. Market Need
b. Market Fundamental
c. Industry Overview/Trend
d. Market Size
e. Unique Qualifications

4. CUSTOMER ANALYSIS
This section of analysis underscores the assessment of the segment(s) in which the company serves. In this section the company outlines the ‘must have’ needs and wants of their target customers and how their products and services focus on attending to those needs and wants. Typically, two things are worthy of note here and they are;
a. Customers Needs
b. Customers Profile

5. COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS
In this section is where you make a comprehensive study of your business competitors both direct and indirect, know their strength, their weakness and how your own competitive approach can become an advantage over them.

6. MARKETING PLAN
In your marketing plan is where you state your core strategies to penetrating the targeted markets describing in details what your brand style (that is, what comes to mind when people remember your company such as; colour, image, packaging, mode of service e.t.c) will be, promotional strategy (choosing advertisement style) and pricing.

7. OPERATIONS PLAN
There’s a big gap between the times of conception and the time of reality. The gap in-between is where all internal strategies necessary for the business success must be implemented. You must ask yourself of the milestones that must be reached before launching out officially. A typical example was when the vision to settle up Emchis Motivational Network came. We had to stay for a year online spreading the vision and consistently convincing people through personal selling before we launched the Network officially.

8. MANAGEMENT TEAM
This section outlines the human resources that the company has or must have to be successful and how those human resources will be drawn into the company. This might include the Board of Directors, the Professional Advisors and Investors or Shareholders Profile.

9. FINANCIAL PLAN
The financial plan involves the development of the company’s revenue styles and profitability model. With your financial plan you can count your eggs before they hatch and that will in great measure serve as a monetary motivation.
In your financial plan is where you state your projected income strategy, what you must likely spend your money on, your Balance Sheet and Cash Flow for a period of 3months, 6months or 1year.

When these Tricks and Strategies of writing a Business Plan are fully implemented, experts believe you are on a greater percentage of hitting your business success when you start.

13 Unavoidable Reasons Why You Must Have a Business Plan

13 Unavoidable Reasons Why You Must Have a Business Plan

13 UNAVOIDABLE REASONS WHY YOU MUST HAVE A BUSINESS PLAN AS AN ENTREPRENEUR

If you have a good business plan which by professional look has been approved to last, you have no worry to do if the business will pay or not. You simply know that you are in for great business.
8. A Business Plan helps you identify your targeted consumer group and their particular needs and how to proffer services to meet those needs
Every product has its customers, every Speaker has his/her audience, every school has her students and every congregation has her God. How can you get this right? It is through good business planning. You must know who you are in to serve. That will help you better in knowing how to serve them.
9. With the help of a Business Plan you can be enlightened to who your competitors are, and the strategies with which you can stay ahead of them
Do you think you are alone in the business? You will be wrong to think that way. There are one thousand and one persons who are in to share the customers with – and who gains a larger share of the customers gains the highest business success. As a Sales Expert, I have learnt through many experiences not to bother myself too much on increasing my sales volume – but I’m rather devoted to increase the influx of my customers because when customers’ patronage increases, sales volume automatically increases.
The easiest ways I have discovered overtime in staying ahead of my competitors is to be innovative and move into a virgin land. Take the lead in innovation both in product branding and in technology, and you will always prove a great sign of superiority over your competitors. The successful Banks and Telecommunication industries we see today in Nigeria are those who are highly innovative and have strong believe in virgin lands.
10. A Business Plan promotes your business before investors and as such gives you an edge in securing loan and partners
One of the foremost things an investor demand of you is your Business Plan. No one plans to risk his hard-earned money in futile activities. No one! So, knowing too well that you want to build a business-type that last, then investors will one day be involved.
These investors are looking out for where they can invest their money and go to sleep for returns. And the first criteria in having your business a choice pot of investment by numerous investors is in you having a good business plan.
11. With the help of a Business Plan you can manage your assets and be able to analyze your cash flow
In a good business plan there’s clear-cut analogy of how you raise your funding, how you handle your income, who handles your cash, how you spend it and when you spend it.
For the sake of space let’s list out this remaining two and in my next article I will show you the typical requirements or features of a good business plan:
12. When you have a good Business Plan it helps you set achievable goals
13. A good Business Plan helps you know which company to merge with or sell to in case of bankruptcy

What is a Business Plan

What is a Business Plan

A Business Plan is the blueprint, the handbook and the foundation pillar of any business entity. It is always a detailed and articulated documentation showing the roadmap and compass of a firm. It is a well thought out plan that is clear, easy-to-follow and understand by anyone who comes in contact with it.
Notwithstanding how small or big you want to start your business, planning is an inevitable part of the business and of course, the foundation of the business which will determine the reliability and lasting power of the business. Any Entrepreneur who ventures into business without a Business Plan is most likely going to be swallowed up by the rigors of business activities but the reverse is the case for an Entrepreneur who understood the place of planning in starting up a business. The five Ps has it that “Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance.” Such a person strongly and decisively deals with issues arising from his business because he had already made plans for exactly the issue that arose or similar issues.
It is a fact that most Entrepreneurs don’t value the importance of a Business Plan and for the few that might have heard of it and have as well seen its power in action do not know how to write it. Other class of Entrepreneurs who understood the importance of a Business Plan only write one when they want to secure loan from Banks and Investors but this ought not to be. Writing a Business Plan is good and simple. If you are still a starter and cannot hire the services of a Professional does not stop you from having a Business Plan. In its simplest note, a Business Plan ensures that you put your business ideas on paper, conduct a research on the various factors needed to make your business a success and in each case, identify your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. That is, your SWOT analysis.
Just like the foundation of every building is tasking and time-consuming, so also it is in Business Planning. The strength of the business is dependent on the quality of the planning. An old saying has it that when you fail to plan you have planned to fail and if you missed Heaven, you can never miss Hell. The earlier you start gathering your daily business ideas and of course interconnect them in a way it will reflect success on your business, the better for you.
Of course I wouldn’t want to sound so exaggerated to you by telling you wholesomely that writing a Business Plan is simple for all businesses, even the Strategic Business Units (SBUs). No! It is indeed tasking. I knew how many months it took us in building the Business Plan of our magazine and of course this blog. When you saw blog I know you wondered if it was worth it writing a business plan that consumes money and time on just a blog. Well, this blog (as you may call it) is already turning out a good business haven.
We had to write and tore, type and delete, sleep and welcome up until we were so sure we have overcome. Anyway, that is not meant to frighten you but to strengthen you that if it must be gainful, it must be painful. If it must be glorious, it must be gloomy. Don’t panic, let’s move ahead.
If the reasons above isn’t appealing enough to make you invest such a huge amount of your time to write a Business Plan then let me blow your mind that this has become a necessity for your business success. It will always run through your mind each time a new idea comes in – whether to amend the plan just like the Legislators do to the constitution or to remain in the a-bi-initio plan.
In my next article I will show you 13 unavoidable reasons why you must have a Business Plan. Hope you enjoyed this article and most importantly, you now know what Business Plan is. Don’t forget to share this post with friends and leave your comments for me.

Challenges of Joining a Network Marketing Business in Nigeria

Challenges of Joining a Network Marketing Business in Nigeria

On several occasions I have written articles relating to Network Marketing business on this blog, ranging from the Lessons I Learnt from Robert T. Kiyosaki about Network Marketing, Top 7 Reasons Why You Must Begin With a Network Marketing Business and previously, How to Start Your Own Network Marketing Company That Will Fetch You Millions in a short while if you persevere using myself as a case study but today, I want to show you the other side of the coin so that you won’t be making a blind decision next time you want to go into Network marketing business.

By opening up these challenges about joining a Network Marketing Business in Nigeria I am not in any way trying to frighten you after all I run one of it, but like I said, I am showing you another side of the coin. Just like every other businesses operated in Nigeria, they have their challenges, therefore Network Marketing won’t be an exception. Anyone trying to tell you that there’s no challenge in running a successful network marketing business will either be lying to you or he or she knows nothing about Network Marketing Business.

These challenges are not only felt by Nigerians alone but every other country around the world where Network marketing business is operational.

The inspiration to write this article came after I recalled how I was brainwashed by my Branch Manager in 2008 to invest my two months salaries in Network marketing business, precisely GNLD. What he never told me was that I was going to face any challenge. In fact, he painted it so well that I thought in the next 5 years which is now, that I was going to be counting in multiples of millions. Little did I know he soft-pedaled on the challenges of joining a Network Marketing Business in Nigeria. Today, I no longer blame either GNLD or my Branch Manager for all my losses but my concern is on those who wants to join a Network marketing company but are not ready to commit to making researches on the challenges they may likely face.

Bill Gates said; “it is fine to celebrate success but it is
more important to heed the lessons of failure.”

Although I have my own Network Marketing Company which by God’s grace currently employs some graduates and undergraduates, yet I will never fail to tell you the challenges of being in the business. But all the same, that’s one of those risks we must face and conquer. Victor Kiam said; “Entrepreneurs are risk takers, willing to roll the dice with their money or reputation on the line in support of an idea or enterprise.”

Without much delay again, let me quickly show you some of those challenges you will likely face when you join a Network Marketing Business in Nigeria. Be reminded that this could be relative – in that case, what the person sitting next to you considered a challenge might not be a challenge to you. For instance; shyness is a challenge to some people but not to others. Reason, because our individual make-ups or what we call temperaments are not the same.
As a way of helping any of your friends who you think is facing hell in his or her Network marketing business, share this post with them and recommend this blog to them so that they will join. My next article on Network Marketing will come as a solution on How to Handle Network Marketing Challenges.

5 Challenges of Joining a Network Marketing Company in Nigeria and Other Countries Alike

Below are some of the challenges you will encounter in Network Marketing Business;

1. To make more money out of the business you must buy in bulk. And unfortunately not everyone’s financial strength can afford that so the person will either quit out of frustration or cripple all through the years of being in the business. But there’s a solution to that.
2. The stress of finding customers offline is there to hit you as Nigeria do a little bit of online selling. Few people who will wish to go online to sell are afraid of scam. So, you must go from house-to-house, door-to-door, city-to-city and from Church-to-Church in order to make sales. And on each occasion, you will talk and talk and talk before you can convince a prospect to buy. But there’s a solution.
3. You will have to collect money from customers by yourself with all the risks of carrying paper cash around. In a situation they gave you money to buy up some products for them in advance, they may not even trust you enough. But there’s a solution
4. Sometimes in other to make sales you will be forced even against your decisions to sell on credit. When this happens you run into the associated problem of not getting paid on time or maybe not being paid at all.
5. The number of distributors who finally make it in a Network Marketing Business is very small compared to the tons of others who quit out of frustration or just become bench warmers at the various meetings of their company.

However, whatever the challenge may be you can still make it. It might look stupid being in a Network Marketing Business at its recession period but don’t give up. Determine to be in the small group of those who became successful. Warren Buffett said; “Look at market fluctuation as your friend rather than your enemy, profit from folly rather than participate in it.”
If you try hard enough, you will come out victorious.

How to Start a Network Marketing Company That Can Fetch You Millions

Why do we work for others? To me, I think it should be for the purpose of garnering experience enough so that you don’t have to pay for things you should be paid for.

Having worked with companies some of which are into Network Marketing business, I think it is high time you started your own business, and to make it grow faster on what I call Business Speed lane, I suggest you make it a Network Marketing Company.
In this article today, I will not only show you how to start up a Network Marketing company that will fetch you millions but I will also simplify it in a way it will stir you up for action.

Recently, a friend of mine who is into importation told me he wants to recruit people who will help him sell some iPads, Car trackers and CCTVs he imported and being the kind of person who doesn’t take chances at business opportunities especially in those ones huge amount of money is involved, I grabbed the idea with my two hands wide open. Knowing that I may not have enough time to be at the marketing field at the expense of my Blog development and of course I can’t afford to lose the contract, I opted to building my latest Network Marketing Company. Remember, this is a product I never spent a dime in its importation but today I can make as much as the importer. Why am I telling you all this? Because I want you to foresee into how a Network Marketing Company can fetch you millions without you quitting your full-time job.

One of the benefits of having a Network Marketing Company is that it is less risky especially for those who like playing it down when it comes to risk-taking – of course, naturally no one wants to risk his time or his money. So, if you are thinking of a business to start, think of building a Network Marketing Company. Don’t ask which of the products I can start a Network Marketing business on, because Network Marketing Company can virtually be built in all products and industries.

Going back to the testimony I shared with you of the latest Network Marketing Company I developed, someone reading this might say I took advantage of my friend but that’s not true because he was over hundred percent happy for how I have helped him. If you’ve been following this blog you will recall when I sent a post here on How to Profit with the Law of Potential Difference as an Entrepreneur, this is just how it works.

Everything I will be sharing with you here are what I personally did to set up a Network Marketing Company that I’m convinced will start fetching millions in due time.

Let me remind you before I forget, I didn’t have to rent any office to start this company. I started fully Home-based, and that’s what empowered me to write my previous article on How to Succeed While You Work From Home. Where you started, whether from home or in a rented office is less important. What matters most is your determination to be successful at it.

Without wasting your time any further, let me quickly show you how you can start a Network Marketing Company from scratch that has the capacity to fetch you millions in the nearest future. Just follow these simple rules and see how it will transform your business life.

1. Pray to God for a Golden idea and opportunity
2. You must have oratory power to convince people to think in your direction.
3. You must earn the trust of the people. That’s your social capital.
4. Organise a seminar to get people to know more about the product you are promoting and your program, your style of marketing and what they stand to benefit.
5. Develop a guide manual, a form for interested distributors, a price list and a self replicating website.
6. Be sure the product you are promoting is dependable and not contraband.
7. Develop your sales skills.
8. List out other Network Marketing Companies in your niche you might be competing with.
9. Network Marketing Company is just like every other kind of business, so you will need to build your own Business plan for the purpose of definite direction and target.
10. Maximize all the channels of advertisement to stick yourself and your business out there.
11. Settle rejections in your mind.
12. Develop your own unique network marketing commission strategy. If you are handy enough, you can develop software to calculate the commissions for you but if you are not, doing it manually won’t harm you.
13. Now, are you set to run your own Network Marketing business?
Today, starting a new business is easier than what it used to be in the past.

You can develop a blog for it, write a sales copy about the product and you will see thousands of people being attracted into what you do.

In case you want a Sales Copy that will promote your product to be written for you or you are in Nigeria and want to be a part of my Network Marketing Company that sells cosmetics you can contact me through the contact box below.

Why Do New Product Fail? Top Reasons Why New Product Fail

Are there products you use to buy in the eighties, nineties or just few years back that you no longer see in the market? How to Succeed While You Work From Home

Posted on

Although not all businesses can be worked from home but experience has taught us that the best way to start from scratch is to start a home-based business. One of the best home base businesses I enjoy most is the internet business which includes; online marketing (sales of information products), freelance writing, blogging, sales of ad spaces etc.

If you are into online business one advantage about it is that you can run your business from any part of the world as long as you connected to the internet. When I am working from home I save time and money that should have gone to transport, I have less of distractions from people and mind boggling stories, and of course I can wear any cloth of my choice – in fact while I was typing this article I wore boxer (my underwear) which is impossible if this was to be a business you can’t run from home.

Find an area in your house to make an office

Notwithstanding you are working from home, try to make out a small space in your room that will serve as your office. This is for the purpose of helping you be in the same working mood you would have been if you weren’t working from home. Doing this not only helps to put you in a special working mood but will also help to avoid the temptation of trying to work from the bed which is very unproductive.

Dress for success

Don’t mind the fact that I told you I wore only my underwear while I wrote this article. Don’t imitate me on that, sometimes I just have to freestyle. Dressing for success always while you are working from home gives you a greater measure of confidence, a sense of professionalism and a great level of productivity.
You don’t necessarily need to put on your suit but a clean and pressed shirt and trouser will ultimately give you the mood you need.

Pre-requisites for working from home

1. Self discipline

Not everyone can work from home. If you are not self-discipline you will easily get distracted while working from home.

2. Do what you love
To do what you love you must first of all find out what you love. Find a skill around it. Learn it and start practicing. When you are doing what you love you don’t need to look into someone else own and since that’s what you love doing, you will definitely be willing to do that from anywhere, including from home.

A friend of mine who now uses two rooms as his recording studio started working from home by converting their dining room into a studio. If he didn’t love what he was doing he wouldn’t have succeeded now.

3. You must be self motivated

In this case, what is fueling your passion to become more productive will not be the ambient, the financial reward you might get or the different kinds of new faces you will certainly not see but internal motivation. Being self motivated is pivotal in running a successful home-based business. When I first started this blog most people are now celebrating because of the speed at which it is growing

4. Be prepared to start from scratch

Starting from scratch is not what everybody can afford to do but to me, that’s the best way of starting a business. My dream is to build businesses which when spoken about people will be motivated and inspired. And if your thought is as good as mine then you must have thought of home-based business. For instance in America and Europe, most of the young millionaires like Caterina Cook of MyYearBook, Matt Mickiewicz, Sean Belnick, Jermaine Griggs e.t.c. we celebrate as those who became millionaires before 24 all started from home and of course from scratch.

5. Set out time to work at home

That you are working from home should not make you mismanage your time. Prepare your time table for work and other things. Failure to do this you will soon realize that your spouse will get bored about you. It is an error to think that because you are working from home should make every time a time for work.

6. Treat it as a business not a hobby

That you are working from home does not make it less a business. Invest in buying up more equipment to build your business. Develop your own marketing plan. Home-based business is business not a hobby.

Why Customers Buy And Why They Don’t

Posted on Updated on

Why Customers Buy And Why They Don’t
… knowing ‘why’ gives you an advantage over your competitors

Customers buy for certain reasons and for other reasons too they don’t. This is how it relates to how we spend our money on daily basis. Anyone who monitors and eventually masters why customers buy and why they don’t has automatically gained 80 percent share of every sales made in a day, a month or in a year. Sometimes you may wonder why it is so! So also I did wonder in the past until I learnt it. Now I can sell to anyone, anywhere not because I am magical but because God has helped me understand why customers buy. In this awesome article I have explained few of my findings why customers buy and why they don’t. Please don’t exit your browser, give me few minutes of your attention let’s discuss on this issue that will transform your business. Notwithstanding the area you operate on the CashFlow Quadrant, you really need to read this. [In case you want information, you can get in touch with me through my contact details or you leave a comment for me here]

How it all began

When I went into product marketing newly I was dangling between numerous opinions of where to position my product and where to find people who will patronize me. In fact, for the first year I was always finding myself among people who never had value for what I promote. Within that period, it was as if everything I saw was rejection. But thanks to my millionaire mentors who God used to tell me why customers buy and why they don’t. Knowing why they buy and why they don’t helped me in my decision to engage in those activities that make them buy; avoid the ones that scare them away and overcome rejection and its fear in product marketing.

Customers are the lifeblood of every business and those business owners who don’t care to know why these customers buy and why they don’t either whirl up or suffer business setback. Zig Ziglar’s opinion and that of Bill Gates about customers tells us that their complaint is a huge opportunity for more business.
Customers are one of the most sensitive people in the world. They are always careful to know when a product is being forced on them and when a product is luring them by the power of its efficacy to solve a problem. You must understand this that one among other reasons why people (customers) buy is because they have a problem seeking for a solution, a need and an urge that is seeking for satisfaction. Now, have you seen why so many products of yours [tangible and intangible] have remained unsold? When customers can’t figure out in a short while the value they will derive by buying a product, I can assure with 100% guarantee that such product will remain unsold or if eventually sold it will be at auction. Most times they are not interested to know your company background, how many years you have been in business or the calibre of persons that also use the product – their interest is what they can gain for buying with their hard earned money. If your product can’t answer to that you are automatically kicked out.

Next time you go for marketing follow one of my Mentor’s rule of First Thing First. Tell them what they need to hear not what you want. Customers don’t buy because they share common values of culture, tribe or same religion with you but because you’ve got what they are ready to pay for. This has nothing to do with discouraging brotherhood. But let this encouragement not be at your own detriment. The rule of business says you should not do business with someone you don’t trust and believe me, if you break the rule the serpent of disappointment and frustration will bite you.

Customers are always seeking for whom to confide in. They want risk-free business. They are always asking directly or indirectly; can we trust you? Don’t wait to be told before you swing into action. By studying their choice of words and the tone of their voice you will ultimately deliver their demands.

Take Action Now!
I am saying all these because your happiness is my happiness, your success is my success and my dream is tied around assisting you make more sales, increase the influx of customers into your business environment and to raise your trust and believe in God. I am raised to encourage Entrepreneurs to perform at their peak but my encouragement will bear no fruit if you refuse to take action. I am of the belief that “to know and not act like one who knows is really not to know”.
Remember;
Strategy + Action = Positive Result

How To Write Sales Copy That Is Proven To Sell

How To Write Sales Copy That Is Proven To Sell

An informational, well articulated words and well-designed web site is a very important part of internet business. However, without workable sales copy your web site is as good as useless. Words make sales, not fancy web sites full of contradictory catchy ads like one of my friends brag so much about. Your words are the total foundation of your business. Your product, your web site and your marketing strategies all depend on your words. If you have made up your mind to start selling on your website, you must learn how to write persuasive sales copy that is proven to sell. I can remember reading one from Infopreneur Queen that got me so excited. I called her up that same night wishing the day has already broken to place my order.

In order to write effective sales that are proven to sell, these are steps you must follow;

1. Highlight The Most Important Benefit Right Up Front

What benefit will buyers derive when they patronize you? Don’t waste your readers’ time because everyone is in haste. Start by choosing a single benefit which your product or service stands to offer which you wish to highlight above everything else. That singular benefit is your “principle selling position”.

How can you know what your ‘Principle Selling Proposition’ is?
Yes! Knowing it is very simple if you are a good observer. One of the simplest ways of knowing is by putting yourself in the customer’s shoes and ask yourself what the customer will really like to go for. You must be honest to answer that correctly. But in a situation you are not sure if what your intuition is telling you is right, ask trusted friends for assistance. Ask yourself what specific benefit makes your offer different, better, or special.

The strength to write creatively comes from the desire you get from answering the above questions correctly. If the desire to write isn’t strong enough, there’s absolutely no creative sales copy you can offer. Use the principle selling proposition you have obtained to create a desire for your product or service by briefly touching on the major benefit it will bring the customer.

It is not necessary to go in details at this front point as you can always expand on theses benefits later.

2. Learn The Use Of Headlines And Bullet Lists

Don’t make it difficult to read otherwise impatient readers may never buy from. In fact, do you know that most people always go straight to the headlines and bullet lists and if they can’t find what they are looking for they opt-out? Reading straight from the screen puts extra strain on the eyes. The use of visual tricks makes reading easy. Write attention-grabbing headlines. Powerful and catchy headline is one of the most important parts of your entire sales copy. If it doesn’t grab your potential customer’s attention, they won’t bother to read further.

Your headline must emphasize your most important benefits and should be displayed in a larger bold font which will demand your potential customer’s attention to read on.

The use of headlines throughout your copy helps to capture the attention of those who only scan your text. Use subheadings to provide highlights of each section of your sales copy like I have already done in this article.

When it comes to listing product’s features, the use of bullet list is paramount.

3. Emphasize On The Benefits

Stress benefits not mission statement. Nobody cares to know your mission statement first. So don’t let it come first in your sales copy or homepage.

The following questions are what every customer answers before placing orders. If your sales copy answers positively to them then you are approved to be purchased from but if negative, then you have met your waterloo.

What can your product do for me? Right now!
Can it make me rich?
Can it save me time?
Can it entertain me?
Can it make me feel better about myself?

These are what people want. Remember people don’t buy because of what they need but what they want. Your product’s greatest benefit should be right in the top header in bold red letters. Your first three or four words should hit them between the eyes.
You have to know the difference between features and benefits. For example, don’t just say that your computer is fast (that’s a feature), tell your customer that it will give them more free time – a benefit. Better still, paint a picture of them using their free time to read a book, play a game of their choice, go clubbing, go to the beach or relax.

Write a list of all the features of your product or service then translate each of these into a benefit for the customer. Look at each feature then ask yourself “So what?” Come to think of it if you’re a customer, why should you care about these features? Ask yourself, “What will it do for me?”

4. Establish Trust In Your Sales Copy

You must first understand that the online community is full of fraudsters. On the Internet you don’t have the privilege of speaking face to face with your customer. They know little or absolutely nothing about whom they’re going to give their personal information to. They have seen lots of scams. So for you to get their interest in filling the form or sending their personal email ID and phone numbers, you have to load as much credibility into your words as possible.

If you can, offer a free trial, a money-back guarantee, testimonials, put your e-mail address, physical address and phone number at the bottom of every page, place a small photograph of yourself, put a link to all the social media networks you are using etc.

These are my best ways of completely removing their risk. Provide your potential customers with a solid, no risk, no question asked, and money back guarantee. This will put their mind at ease by building their confidence in you and your product.
Take note that this isn’t a child’s play, so be prepare to stick to that guarantee.

5. Testimonials Sell

Good, believable testimonials from real people will help sales, particularly on the web where establishing credibility is a tough job. To gather much testimonial tell customers who have purchased your product in the past to drop a note of how the quality of the products and services they received were. To make it even better credible, ask your testimonial writers if you can include their contact details along with their testimonial. If they accept it you go ahead but if they don’t ever try to make it public in any way – respect their privacies.

6. Write In A Natural Style

Don’t try to talk like one from the moon. Inasmuch as you must be professional, try to be natural. Just write it the way you’d say it. Write as though you are writing to a specific person. Use words like “you” and “your” rather than “them” or “their”. Write as if you are speaking with just one person – one on one.
“Don’t use over complicated, or unnecessarily formal language that can either totally confuse visitors or just put them to sleep. Either way it loses the customer, and loses you the sale.
Don’t say “in our considered opinion” or “enclosed please find…” Simplify these into everyday language. Write how you would speak: “we think” and “here is,” are much better choices.” – Zac Hewlett

7. Call For Action

Tell the visitors what to do clearly. For example, “Call now” or “Click here to order now for immediate delivery”, or “Sign up for our newsletter now”. Don’t let your potential customers guess how or where to order. Make it user-friendly.

Politely ask them to place their order and provide an easy order process. Ordering details must be clearly visible and simple to follow.

8. Create Urgency

Throw in something special for the first 50 or 100 subscribers or make it “this month only”.
Offer a “limited time” price. The goal is to make visitors act now. Once they leave, they will forget you and your product. The possibility of a visitor looking for your particular website on the huge Internet is slim.
Your word selection is important here. Don’t say “Subscribe now!”. Put a specific time limit to it – “Subscribe in Nov and I’ll throw in… “.
Remember, you must stick to that limit.

9. Put a P.S.

Close your sales copy with a P.S. (PostScript). When your visitor scans your sales message, chances are, they’ll read your headlines, subheadings and your P.S. message. Some people read the P.S. first.
Place your most important benefits within your P.S. message. Use it to add a special bonus. Include a time limit to get the good deal. It will get read.

In summary, be precise but make sure you don’t miss the major benefits.

How Wealthy People Think: Your Preferred Journey Into The World of The Rich

Posted on Updated on

“As I grow older, I pay less attention to what men say. I just watch what they do.”
– Andrew Carnegie

Do you really want to be rich? Or have you been pretending about it? I know that’s a foolish question to ask but it is necessary that I do.
How do wealthy people think? What’s so special about the way they think that has always made their wealth to grow increasingly? By thinking like them can anyone become rich too?

If you are serious about being wealthy you will have to learn how the wealthy think. You will have to know the lingo and the language, where they eat and live, how they work and relax, how they invest and save, and what they think about money in general.

If you’ve made up your mind to be wealthy like I did, here are few questions you must ask yourself about wealthy people:

¤ What’s their value for time?

If there’s anything wealthy people value so much it is time. They understand that Life = Time. That’s to mean, if they waste their time, they are wasting their life.

The more time you save, the more money you are likely going to make. So why not save more of it?

¤ What do they think about money?

Yes! Everyone has his right to think anything about money but until you think it the way wealthy people do, the money will neither come or stay long if it ever comes. The poor thinks that money bring happiness but the rich knows it doesn’t.

Jean Paul Getty said; “money is like manure. You have to spread it around or it smells. Build wealth as a by product of your business success. If wealth is your only obective in business, you will probably fail.”

¤ What do the wealthy think about passive income strategy?

I have written an article about Passive Income Strategy here before so I wouldn’t bore you with the meaning and how to profit from it but if you are interested to know more you can search it out right here in my blog.

Few wealthy men of the 19th and early 20th century hardly believe that passive income strategy is necessary to becoming the wealthiest in life. Someone like Andrew Carnegie advices that to be wealthy you should put all your eggs in one basket and keep a strong watch over the basket while others like Warren Buffett, Aliko Dangote, Richard Branson and the rest of them believes in ‘a little on the right, a little on the left’ which simply explains passive income earning.

No one becomes wealthy doing one thing. Otherwise in time of crisis he or she will experience total meltdown economically.

¤ What do the wealthy think about networking?

The wealthy believes that no one is self-made. Everybody needs someone. Sometimes the someone you might need will be a customer, a mentor or a new business partner. Warren Buffett said; “it is better to hang out with people better than you. Pick out associates whose behaviour is better than yours and you will drift in that direction.”

¤ What do the wealthy think about buying and selling?

Just like Rich Dad rightly taught us, learning sales skills is the best choice anyone can make. J. Paul Getty and Carlos Slim Helu taught us that buying when others are selling is the best formula in becoming wealthy in life.

In buying, don’t waste your time in liabilities, go for assets. Liabilities are those ones that takes money away from you while assets are those ones that brings money in.

Based on this explanation; how many assets and liabilities are in your budget this year? If you want to think like the wealthy you must learn how to buy more assets over liabilities.

¤ What is the perception of the wealthy about failure?

An average man sees failure as a stumbling block while the wealthy or one who thinks like the wealthy sees it as another opportunity to try again. Oprah Winfrey said; “Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.”

The wealthy became wealthy the day they identified the needs of the people and accepted to meet it. They do this through the Law of Potential Difference by feeding the emotions of the masses and feeding their own intelligence.

Almost all wealthy people became wealthy by first thinking it. After then came the organisation of those thoughts. So by thinking like them, reading the kind of newspapers they do and following every point I have listed above, will you become wealthy in life.

Top 5 Habits of Great Motivational Speakers

Posted on Updated on

Having listened to the tapes and read the books of great speakers like Fela Durotoye and Niyi Adesanya (of Nigeria), John Maxwell, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, stephen Covey, Les Brown (my mentor) and many others I can’t mention here, I want to share with you Top Habits which I discovered were common in all of them.

These men has made the speaking industry one of the choicest industries in the world. My discoveries proved that they all had these habits I am about to share with you. So! Relax, read and let it inspire you – meanwhile joining us won’t be any error, afterall that’s part of the ‘Passive income’ I have always talked to you about.

Let’s check it out!

1. They survey their audience

The first thing every great motivational speaker does on receiving a letter of engagement is to make a research of the audience he’s to speak to. With this you can have their age, profession, philosophy and probably their expectations.

2. They make good use of the time given to them

This is simple! Nothing annoys an audience like having a speaker who doesn’t keep to time. Not only not keeping to time but wastes time. Great motivational speakers maximize the time. So, if you’re aiming to become one in future, note this!

3. They use simple-to-understand words

Yeah! No need of big grammar otherwise you lose the audience’s concentration. The essence of communication is to get the listeners to learn.

Great speakers talk and listen – both to themselves and to audience. By using simple words you get to participate.

4. They leave the audience better than they met them

This can be done by using highly motivating words. Words when listened people will scream, “I have never heard anyone talk like this before.” If you can meet their demands you will come back to speak.

5. They end well

This talks about their conclusion. They make it friendly and entertaining. On concluding, remind them of what you expect them to do.

The speaking industry is a huge opportunity, get to know how we make money talking.

Aba as a Centre of Entrepreneurial Excellence – Championed by Abia Think Tank Association

Posted on Updated on

Today, I was previlege to attend ‘ABA SUMMIT’ organised by Abia Think Tank Association (ATTA) headed by Mazi Sam I. Ohuabunwa, OFR at Terminus Hotel, Aba Abia State Nigeria from start to finish.

This program being the first of its kind attracted the presence of Abia intellectuals, professionals, lovers of Abia and investors from different parts of the world. Some of the men who I have great respect for that were present includes; Prof. Pat Utomi, Prof. Barth Nnaji and Prof. Ikechi Mgbeoji.

These men spoke extensively in a way that inspired me to keep doing my best in making Aba work. According to Mazi Sam I. Ohuabunwa’s keynote address, he stated that “intellectual capital thrives on ideas, ideas being the bedrock and touchstones of man’s creative ingenuity.” He believed that “ideas well-projected conduce into great accomplishments to bring about a paradigmatic shift in the developmental trajectory of any human society.”

During the Breakout Session on Strategic Dialogue, I made a wonderful suggestion on the way forward towards achieving the Aba of our dream and believe me, it brought meaningful increase to my contact list.

The MD/CEO of Starline Industries Limited, Mazi Clement Owunna why sharing his experience with us told us that Starline is now 65 years old and that he inherited the business from his father.

When asked what the secret of his company was he said; “key is persistence and readiness to invest in home.” He admonished everyone to invest in Aba. He said the hope of Geometric Power is the hope of the Igbo nation.

We explored diverse areas where investors can invest in Aba from manufacturing to tourism and from education to local fabrication of machines.

Indeed, the vision of Abia Think Tank Association has come to stay. We call on investors from around the globe to see Aba, Abia State Nigeria as an investment Haven.

I want to specially thank my latest Mentor and Model, Mazi Sam I. Ohuabunwa, OFR – a Change Agent, a Godfearing man, and the President of Abia Think Tank Associatio for his vision.

Top 5 Reasons Why Most People Don’t Become Rich in Nigeria

Posted on Updated on

In Nigeria people often wonder why life has become so unfair – showering a few individuals with tremendous wealth than they can exhaust in a generation and then leaving a multitude as destitudes. Well, that’s not being unfair – it is simply the law of sowing (cause) and reaping (effect) in action.

Not minding my specificity, this is a challenge confronting the global. Young people are beginning to find it difficult to be rich these days but the reasons are not farfetched from the discoveries I made from Experts and my Millionaire Mentors.

In just a few minutes I will share with you the Top 5 Reasons Why Most People Don’t Become Rich. By avoiding these things, you’re on the sureway to building your own financial tower.

1. Impatience

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
– Thomas Edison

So many young Entrepreneurs who quitted their job to start up their own businesses could not wait due to impatience.
start up their own businesses could not wait due to impatience.

2. Lack of financial discipline and literacy

As long as there is rampant illiteracy on how money is made, managed and spent, those within the reach of its circulation will continue to eat enough.

Since our school system does not teach it, it becomes very hard for young Nigerians to become rich.
“If you cannot save money, the seeds of greatness are not in you.” – W. Clement Stone

3. Lack of plan

Lack of adequate planning is what has impedded some Nigerians from becoming rich. They do not have long-term or short-term plan. Adequate planning gives room for creative decision that could yield to success.

4. Lack of willingness to delay gratification

The number of years it took another Entrepreneur to become a billionaire won’t be the same with you. Try to understand your peculiarities. For me, I wish to become a billionaire in future but how long it will take I don’t know.

Give enough time to test how viable your ideas are before expecting great dividend.

5. Poverty mentality

This is the worst kind of bondage. Until you are free from it you are not yet free.

Why Every Entrepreneur Must Be a Leader

Posted on Updated on

In my research of who Entrepreneurs and Leaders are, I discovered that no Entrepreneur ever became successful until he or she have ascended to the high place of leadership – in that case such a person must be a leader in his or her field.

These Reasons as will be outlined below are the characters of true Leaders every Entrepreneur must have in order to be successful. Entrepreneurs who have mastered how to make these things their core values end up building trans-generational business empires.

Would you like to know those reasons? Then join me as we explore them right away.

1. Leaders know how to delegate authority

Do you know you can’t be everywhere at the same time? Have you ever asked yourself how passive income grows? If yes, then you must have practiced delegation or thinking about it right now.

If you must succeed in your quest of being an Entrepreneur of Distinction you must learn to delegate authority rightly.

“Surround yourself with the best people you can find, DELEGATE authority, and don’t interfere as long as the policy you’ve decided upon is being carried out.”
– Ronald Reagan

2. Leaders are good decision makers

They understood the impart of the decisions they make.
“Whenever you see successful business some once made a courageous decision.”
– Peter F. Drucker

It will be impossible to make progress without making decision. So, don’t leave it in the hand of another person.

I advocate that you make the decision to buy [assets] when others are selling just like Paul J. Getty and Carlos Slim did in their time.

3. Leaders are creative and innovative

Creativity and Innovation must be the key function of every Entrepreneur. “Creativity is thinking new thing while innovation is doing new thing.”

Why Every Entrepreneur Needs a Business Plan

Posted on

Are you an Entrepreneur or hoping to be one in future? Have you ever thought of having a Business Plan for the business(es) you are operating today and the ones yet to be created by you in the future or do you think you do not need it to be successful?

How hard is it?

You don’t need a College degree to develop a befitting business plan for your business, you just need to understand what the term means and that alone will create the urgency to have one and the inspiration of what it will look like.

Just like in physical structure a modern builder no matter his height of knowledge can do nothing both in building from the scratch and in amendment without the Building Plan, so also it is in business – a Business Expert can do nothing without a Business Plan.

Business Plan in a simple term is your plan for attracting investor, getting the customers to prefer your products and services over those your competitors and your road map to having a blissful business future.

Whether you are into online business or offline business you need a business plan. But having one has never been easy as you have to spend months writing it and your entire business life editing and updating it.

Note: No business is too small not to have a business plan and no time is too late to start writing one.

I’ve understood that some of the reasons why most businesses die with the first generation owners who embarked on traditional way of doing business is because they do not have an effective and efficient business plan. And the question is; why do Entrepreneurs need this Business Plan?

I’ve carried out a research, conducted a few minutes standing interview with friends and senior colleagues in the entrepreneurial world coupled with my experiences to answer that question. I know someone reading this article might be wondering – is it necessary? Yes! It is! Let me show you reasons why you need it.

¤ As an Entrepreneur, you need a clear statement of your business vision and mission

It is very important. Like in Emchis Consulting, our vision is to become Your Best Busines Environment For Expert Advice. This simple vision statement has helped us to remain focus on delivering the right information.

¤ As an Entrepreneur your Business Plan helps you set values that can help you navigate your business towards success during economic crisis.

¤ As an Entrepreneur your Business plan is your best tool for monitoring progress in your business

Yes! It helps you know if you are meeting up with the sales target or not.

¤ As an Entrepreneur your Business plan is your business blueprint that can help you focus your mind and energy while building your business from scratch to maturity

Since it works like a manufacturer’s blueprint, anyone can easily spot out where the problem lies and what to do to correct without having to speak with the owner.

¤ As an Entrepreneur your Business plan helps you analyse who your potential customers are, where they are, when to find them and what they want

¤ As an Entrepreneur your Business plan helps you become accountable to yourself

¤ When seeking for a loan or introducing your business to investors your Business plan acts as a résumé without which no one can take the risk of investing

¤ As an Entrepreneur your Business plan helps you figure out who your competitors are, their strengths and weaknesses and how you can leverage on them

The reasons are too numerous than we can mention here but the ultimate truth is that you need it to make a successful Entrepreneur.

Entrepreneur’s Guide to Contract Negotiation

Posted on Updated on

As Consultants and Entrepreneurs we are always faced with the job of negotiating with a Client over one business or the other. Sometimes we win big and sometimes we lose big but in all, it has always had a contribution on how successful we are or will become.

Wisdom should teach you that “you must never try to make all the money that’s in a deal. Let the other fellow make some money too, because if you have a reputation for always making all the money, you won’t have many deals.” – J. Paul Getty

It is unfortunate most young Entrepreneurs has never thought of negotiating a contract. I guess that’s why most of them hardly develop a Business Plan before starting up a business. But in this article today, I will show you simple tips to help you negotiate well and as well land more contract.

Learning how to negotiate a contract helps you avoid regret in time to come. If I knew this before now, my former boss wouldn’t have denied me my two years leave allowance and my 5 months salaries he waved off. I had those ugly experiences because I never knew what it was to negotiate a job contract. Good negotiation gives you value both in cash and in kind.

In order to negotiate well, you must be able to answer the following questions correctly:

1. What is the monetary value for your products and services? And what proof do you have to defend your claim?

2. What is the lowest price you will accept? And why?

3. What if nobody accepts to have your products/services at your quoted price? Can you be flexible?

For you to make the best of every negotiation do not let the next person you are negotiating with know that you are impatient, desperate and have hidden interest. Pretend as if you don’t need it and that will help you price moderately if you are buying from a supplier.

In one of William A. Cohen’s advice on contract negotiation, he said the following;

(a). Do more than review your facts. Know the areas in which you can afford to be flexible and where you stand fast.

(b). Know the price for your services below which you cannot go.

(c). Know the areas in which you can speed things up and complete your tasks earlier and where you cannot.

(d). Write down your specific negotiating objectives. That way you won’t forget them in the heat of negotiation.

Warning: Never believe a statement made by someone you are negotiating with unless you can confirm it or test it.

5 Negotiation Tactics

1. Make big demands at the beginning. That will give you more room to negotiate.

2. If you have several competitors, let them know you are negotiating with them at the same time.

3. Be patient. An act of impatient shows that you are desperate and thus have an undisclosed agenda.

4. Be human. Be flexible so that you don’t burn the relationship bridge after landing the first contract.

5. Let someone you trust read-proof your proposal if it should be in paper form before sending.

Final warning: Never tell anybody how you outsmarted someone in the past at the negotiation desk. An attempt to boast on this could be another fast track in digging your business grave. From what I learnt about Donald Trump, he sold Merv Griffin a casino for hundreds of millions of dollars, Donald was believed to have gone on air to blow how he had taken Griffin to the cleaners. And we all knew what happened of how Donald Trump went bankrupt then.

“Don’t bargain yourself down before you get to the table.”
~ Carol Frohlinger
